kitten with water on her lungs

My uncle has a kitten that is about 3-5 months old. She has water on her lungs and we think, an under developed heart. Her vet did not do much for her or give him any real information about this. I was hoping you would have some info. and suggestions.

The kitten needs lab tests and radiographs to determine the cause of the water on the lungs. An under developed heart is just one possible cause. In addition it may be an infection (viral or bacterial), a diaphragmatic hernia, or chylothorax; to name just a few.

You must have the problem defined before you can hope to treat the kitten. Some veterinarians decide for the client that hey do not want to pursue a problem with a young animal. If you want to find out what is wrong get another veterinarian to look at the kitten.
