Toy poodle, 15, has cataracts in both eyes & now believed to be blind. Would cataracts removal help with her toilet habits?

She only settles if placed in a crate otherwise she is constantly walking around. A walk does not solve this. She urines what seems every 30mins and sometimes less in the house. She cant seem to tell us when she needs to go out. She has also left stools in the house. Her appetite is still good.

It sounds like there is more going on here than just cataracts. It is likely your pet is afflicted with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction. The cataract surgery is quite effective at restoring sight, but the Cognitive issues would likely remain. We have had some effect with a drug called seligiline to mitigate signs associated with this disorder. Ask your regular veterinarian if your pet is healthy enough for surgery on the eyes and if seligiline may be right for her.
