There can be many causes of diarrhea. First, at the Sanctuary, we would run a PCR Feline Diarrhea Profile to rule out any parasitic causes and treat accordingly. This could be from a dietary indiscretion which could clear on its own or with a few days on a soft bland diet like meat baby food or boiled lean chicken mixed with baby food. Sometimes antibiotics are required if it does not clear up. If this persists your regular veterinarian should examine your cat.
