I have a Labrador mix that “reverse sneezes” at times.

Is this just an allergy problem or is this something serious?

Reverse sneezing on an occasional basis is typically from post nasal drip which may be associated with an allergy. If it is acute and severe it may indicate a foreign body in the nasal cavity, such as a grass awn, aka foxtail. If a chronic problem we will treat with an antihistamine and anti-inflammatory, such as Temaril P. If this only happens on an infrequent basis we generally do not treat.
