My 13 yr old cat has cancer

He had a tumor removed from his colon along with 4 inches of his colon,3 months ago. Biopsy came back clean and free from cancer. month later he had a tumor removed from the surface of his stomach. 2 weeks ago he became constipated. X ray revealed another mass growing but he does not have a total blockage. He is on steriod, cat lax, stool softners, and B-12 injections. He seems to be doing better.I do not want him to have anymore surgery.

My question is . . . Is there anything I can be giving him holistically to help keep his appetite up and keep the tumor from growing too fast? I really appreciate your time.Thank you very much. I love your website. I’ll be paying a visit.

We would use cyproheptadine to support the appetite. We have had some good results with hemp oil in our cancer patients. We give 1 ml. daily by mouth with syringe. I realize you are reluctant to do another surgery on your cat; however, if there are already signs of constipation and the cat is in good health otherwise at the D.E.L.T.A. Rescue Sanctuary we would definitely proceed with surgery. This action would increase the quality of life for your cat.
