Rescued a femal Pit bull mix and she has chronic diarhea.

I have had sample of her feces tested and she needed worming. She eats Sportmix wholesome chicken and rice daily. She has to have veterinarian prescription drugs that stop the diarhea for several weeks and then it comes back. Would a grain free food take care of this? She takes NexGuard and HeartGuard monthly as well.

A food allergy may be the problem. A trial with a food with a unique protein and unique carbohydrate source is worth trying. Examples are venison and potato or rabbit and potato. Give a food trial at least four weeks before giving up. Alternatively, this may be a form of inflammatory bowel disease that will require some form of medical management long term. I have had some success with budesonide in such cases.
