I have 3 small dogs – a 6.5 year old yorkie poo (<6 lbs), an 11 year old shih tzu (13 lbs) and a 12.5 year old maltese (13 lbs). As they share food, what is the best option that covers all their needs. They get a multi vitamin (Pet tab) every day.
Answer from Dr. Gaylord Brown:
At the sanctuary we feed a puppy food to the young dogs until they are about one year of age. After that we feed the same adult food to the dogs. We are presently feeding a salmon and potato diet. We feel a unique protein and carbohydrate source is best for good skin and bowel health. We use Blue Buffalo Wilderness Salmon Recipe.
